The book Parrot in the Oven by Victor Martinez is a very capitaving story about a mexican-american boy who is trying to cope with the many problems around him. The main characters name is Manuel, also known as Manny. He is fourteen years old, living with family of five, and resides in the projects of Southern California. Manny's family struggles with many problems including poverty and many different types of abuse. The story is dynamic, dramatic, and alluring. The many different trials that Manny must face will have you reading this book from begining to end.

i dont agree with Manny's father about that because people are a lot more complex than money. Manny's father only sees the social and finacial status of a person. He doesn't see people at a personal level.
I don't agree with Manny's Dad about how people are like money.
People shouldn't be labeled at what kind of money they have. They need to look at the personal side of the person because they could be in the same situation as you.
